It’s fun to see the traditional muscle cars making headlines in the world of the auto industry. We’ve recently got word that the Chrysler/Dodge Challenger is going to be re-introduced and pre-orders are blowing off the roof. The Corvette pops up every once in a while with special edition releases. There’s the new Bullitt Mustang and, of course, there are the Shelbys.
Now comes word that there will be some style changes to the production 2009 Ford Mustang. According to the Detroit News, Ford will be featuring an optional panoramic glass roof.
The new roof will cost sun lovers an additional $1,995 and will be available for the Mustang V-6 and the Mustang GT. The new Mustang is expected to debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January.
Our take? Good for Ford on this strategy. Dust ain’t going to accumulate on this American tradition.
