He’s been dead for 30 or so years but it is still possible to match the name of Elvis Presley with a more recent creation years, and we mean years, after his death.

A custom-built 1965 Cadillac Eldorado convertible said to have been designed by Presley is being sold in auction on eBay. The exterior gleams due to forty coats of gold paint. There are guitar-shaped sun visors with replicas of Elvis’ gold records mounted into the cover.

The car is in original unrestored condition and comes with a certificate of authentication from Barris. According to 4Car, the Caddy which was complete 10 years after Presley’s death by George Barris, creator of such famous TV and film cars as Herbie, the General Lee, and KITT. The auction ends on November 23rd. Our take? Some would say that the car’s appearance is ostentatious, but it is certainly something that Elvis would have loved.
