Buick Enclaves went Over the Edge at SEMA

Buick has become a car company that is attracting the oldest buyers in the U.S. car market. And that is not good.

In order to be viable (and to continue a tradition for the long run), the company needs to attract younger, more hip buyers. That’s probably why it is showcased a number of vehicles equipped with goodies that should attract the 40 year old and older market base at SEMA this year.

Mitek Corporation, makers of car audio products and parent of MTX, was given a Buick Enclave Black Platinum Edition to do its magic on. The result was an SUV exterior with House of Kolor Black Diamond paint, tinted windows and doors without handles,  and 20-inch TIS chrome wheels. The interior has been improved with deep blue leather covering the three rows of seats, the headliner, and the visors. A 4900 watt MTX sound system with three 12-inch sub woofers was added, all of this was achieved while still retaining the third row of bench seats.

NBA star Jerome Williams helped out by customizing a Buick Enclave Urban CEO Edition. And Rick Bottom Designs took control of a Buick Enclave UpTown (pictured) and came up with a vehicle that showcases a two-tone paint job on the exterior that matches white chocolate pearl with cocoa metallic.

More details and pics can be found at Motor Trend. Our take? We don’t have any doubt that these Buicks will be attracting the younger set who visit this year’s SEMA Show. I think you can count on that.
