Auto theft is a major problem here in the U.S. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has identified the most stolen cars. Is your car on the list? Some of the cars include:
- The Cadillac Escalade (pictured) is not only numero uno among stolen vehicles, but it's also number 2, 3, and 5. If you buy one, make sure you're either rich (to replace it), have good insurance, and have another vehicle ready.
- Ford F-Series
- Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. We wonder why....
- Dodge Magnum. Specifically, the HEMI trim.
- Buick Rainier (discontinued). You're kidding. Why would thieves be interested in this SUV?
- Toyota Prius.
