General Motors has some, er, "small" plans for its Cadillac division.
First, the luxury marquee will be getting a new model -- a small rear-wheel drive auto that will be positioned below the currently entry level CTS sedan (pictured).
The CTS, on the other hand, will get a coupe and wagon for the 2009 model year. And both the current flagship DTS and the STS will be replaced by a rear-wheel drive sedan for 2011.
GM, reports AutoWeek, is said to also be considering a fuel cell version of the E-Flex plug-in hybrid as a possible carrier of the Cadillac badge. For those of you who are not up with the turning to green being achieved by our Big Three, the E-Flex plug in is the concept behind the Chevrolet Volt.
Our take? An entry level Caddy? Didn't GM learn from Ford's mistake with the Jaguar X-Type?
