POMONA (October 12, 2007) -- Sportsmobile West, North America's leading tier 2 manufacturer for Ford Econoline and Dodge Sprinter aftermarket development, is excited to announce the introduction of its all new pop-top for the Dodge Sprinter Chassis. Sportsmobile will be debuting their new 2007 Sprinter van at the 2007 Recreational Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) Show in Pomona, California.
"We are eager to unveil this new pop-top design for the Sprinter," said Alan Feld, president, Sportsmobile. "Our growth in the Sprinter market has seen a marked increase since 2006. With the debut of our concept 4X4 system and our Lopes 55 toy hauler earlier in the year, Sportsmobile Sprinter excitement continues to grow. We are confident that this new pop-top option will be a welcome addition for families and those who need to sleep more than 2 people." Sportsmobile has been designing and producing pop-top style vans for nearly 40 years. The new Dodge Sprinter with the Penthouse option makes this the first pop-top style Sprinter in North America. With the same engineering and functionality of Sportsmobile's Ford and Chevy pop-tops the Sprinter pop-top is sure to be a hit. The new pop-top is durably built with an electrically powered, reinforced fiberglass top. It offers 5 vinyl windows and when unzipped provides great cross ventilation for those afternoon naps. The electric top is designed to support a roof rack and gear and when raised allows an astounding 7'9" interior height. With the addition of the Penthouse comes the ability to add a second full-size bed that is capable of sleeping an additional two adults comfortably. Privacy is acquired via the built in privacy curtains, and to bring the comfort of home with you, reading in bed is illuminated by two fluorescent lights built in the top of the Penthouse. The RB50S' layout is Sportsmobile's most popular floor plan for the sprinter which includes a bed, lounge seat, dining table, galley and plenty of storage to accommodate accessories needed to travel for long periods of time. Interior options are nearly limitless and include a refrigerator, microwave, sink and a power inverter that will allow standard plugs to be used. Sportsmobile's attention to detail and quality will be apparent to show goers as they look over this new Sprinter van. The interior is the most comfortable on the market, and when combined with the new concept 4X4 system, the Sportsmobile Sprinter and Sportsmobile Ford vans are the most capable and adventurous camping vans on the market today.
