A top mobile phone manufacturer, Nokia, and a world renowned auto maker, Renault, will be teaming up to produce a new branded navigation system. To start the process, Renault has invited Nokia to get involved with its newest car line, the Twingo.
According to TG Daily, Nokia will include its 6110 phone with built-in navigation technology for the Twingo starting at the end of October. This comes on the heels of Nokia's acquisition of NAVTEQ, supplier of maps and other data for navigation products.
The Twingo has a manufacturers suggested retail price of 12,000 euros or $17,000. Renault will first release it in France. Later the new car will also be released in Belgium, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and Slovenia.
