At first it was just talk.

Earlier this year, exotic car maker Auto Loremo AG floated an idea of developing a lightweight 2+2 coupe that it would achieve incredible fuel efficiency thanks to a diesel engine. Talk was that the company would release two models -- the Loremo LS which could achieve 157 miles per gallon and the 87 miles per gallon Loremo GT. Top speed for the LS was 99 miles per hour while the GT would hit 0 to 60 in 9 seconds and achieve speeds of 137 miles per hour.

Well, it isn't just talk anymore. DailyTech reports that the company is said to be ready to release a prototype called the Loremo L1 in time for the Frankfurt Motor Show. According to Loremo, the working prototype will have the capacity to achieve a staggering about 117 miles per gallon.

Our take? From sketch pad to highway. Dreams are becoming real!

Wow, that's ugly. Looks like a bad Chinese knockoff of a cross between an Audi TT and the old Porsche 959. Admirable efficiency, but no thanks.
