Will 2010 Pontiac GTO Rise As All-New Firebird?

Some American-made car models are just part of American tradition. There's the Chevrolet Corvette and Camaro, the Ford Mustang, the Dodge Charger, and the Pontiac GTO and Firebird.
Well, when 2010 comes to visit, we will be seeing a new Pontiac. But people are already wondering if its going to be the GTO or the legendary Firebird.
Whatever they call it, the new Pontiac will be a sports coupe with two choices of engines -- a 3.6 liter V-6 which generates 261 hp and a 6.0 liter V8. There will also be a choice of a five or six-speed automatic transmission.
Our take? We're partial toward the Firebird. Yeah, may sound old-school, but nostalgia goes a long way into many people's pocketbooks. Heck, how long has the Ford Mustang been around?
