Compact Car Market Currently Hot

If you are out pursuing the market right now for a small car, you should snap it up now because incentives are phasing out and prices will be rising.



On the other hand, reports the Detroit Free Press, if you are looking to buy an SUV, you should wait awhile because discounts for them are likely to rise.

Interest in small cars have spiked at 15 percent with the Toyota Prius, Kia Rondo, and Nissan Sentra attracting the most eyes. Reports show that the average costs of these smaller vehicles have risen from $17,448 in March to $17,565. And while that doesn't appear to be much, it may be a possible trend.


Our take? Buy when you're ready, not when there's a trend. Cars are not like houses; there will always be a sale (or a dealer looking to unload at the first opportunity).
