Want to listen about Audi 24/7 on your radio? You're in luck.

The service, called NewsService Journaline, is the basis for Audi’s Personal News service which is now going through final testing.

Referred to as "Teletext for the Radio," the service provides continuous updates of information for immediate access over Digital Radio or DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting) in CD quality. The driver chooses the text he wishes to receive by topics which are listed on a menu.

Audi has been offering DAB technology since 2005. Currently, DAB radio receivers can be ordered for the Audi A5, A6/S6, A8/S8, and Q7.

The news service was developed by the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS, and supplied by SVOX, was demonstrated at the CeBIT Show.
