The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) released a statement last week that as part of its safety review, the Chevrolet Trailblazer and its mechanical twin, the GMC Envoy, may have issues with fuel leaks.

The investigation started when the government received complaints that owners could smell gasoline from the vehicles as well as see fuel dripping underneath them. The NHTSA estimates that over 800,000 vehicles may have been affected.

General Motors, which owns Chevrolet and GMC, will cooperate fully with the agency, states a spokesperson for the automaker. Note that an official recall has not been sent out at the time of the article's publication.

Other recalls, such as on the Dodge Ram and Nissan Versa, can be found at the article. Our take? Trailblazers and Envoy owners may want to query their dealerships or GM directly on any further news on their vehicles.
