BMW has announced that it will start selling diesel-powered vehicles in the world’s largest auto market in 2008.

According to the Reuters article (via The Auto Channel), BMW CEO Norbert Reithofer made the announcement at the Geneva Motor Show this week.

Neither Reithofer or the article discussed which diesel vehicles are slated to come over or manufactured at BMW’s Spartanburg, South Carolina. Our take is that it will be most likely its car models first (e.g., 3-Series, Z4, etc.) followed by its SUVs. (Pictured is a BMW 6-Series.)
