The Chrysler Group is issuing a recall on its various Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep vehicles.

The issue is the braking system. According to the National Nine News, a software glitch could cause the brakes to lock up and the driver to lose control.

Vehicles recalled include 2006 Chrysler 300C, Dodge Caliber, and Jeep Compass/Grand Cherokee/Commander (pictured) /Cherokee/Wrangler. All affected vehicles were built in 2006.

No injuries have been reported due to this issue.

Contact information can be found in the article. Our take? As always, we recommend owners of the affected vehicles head to their nearest dealership. National Nine News did not indicate if the vehicles sold in other markets (i.e., Canada, U.K., USA, etc.) may be affected as well. We’ll be checking the NHTSA and various consumer sites to make sure, though.
