The issue is the braking system. According to the National Nine News, a software glitch could cause the brakes to lock up and the driver to lose control.
Vehicles recalled include 2006 Chrysler 300C, Dodge Caliber, and Jeep Compass/Grand Cherokee/Commander (pictured) /Cherokee/Wrangler. All affected vehicles were built in 2006.
No injuries have been reported due to this issue.
