According to M&C, Ford stopped assembly of its all-new SUVs as the company replaced their rear-axel ball bearings. Apparently there had been some issues with them though it’s unclear if it’s due to the design or manufacturing. SUVs that had already been shipped to dealers were recalled to get the parts properly refitted.
Our take? We feel a week to a couple of weeks delay to make sure a vehicle’s up to snuff is actually a good thing. Kudoes to Ford for its foresight involving its first major crossover.
