One of Automotive.com blog’s regular readers sent us an article from Adrant, an on-line site that disses discuss the latest in the advertising and marketing world. The article comments on a Chevrolet ad found in the February 5th issue of Automotive News, the near-bible for what’s happening in the auto sphere (except to the Automotive.com blog. Of course.). The sharp-eyed editor of Autodata, who sent the ad, points to a set of rings found at the top left corner of the ad and form a familiar logo of a major German competitor.
A blow up of the ad can be found at Adrant. Our take? Unlike the article, we think it’s a genuine mistake on the part of the Chevrolet advertisers. That, or someone played a prank two months too early.
