If you thought the Range Rover couldn’t get more exclusive or luxurious, you thought wrong. With auto show season in full gear, Land Rover has decided to unveil two new models that will make their official debuts at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the Long-Wheelbase and Autobiography Black models.
The automaker has received countless demands for enhanced luxury and exclusivity, and has taken those demands into consideration when preparing these all-new models. For the Long-Wheelbase model, 5.5 inches in length have been added, increasing rear legroom. Only available on the Supercharged and Autobiography models, the Long-Wheelbase option comes with a rear bench seat or two bucket seats with a center console that can recline up to 17 degrees. This model will feature “L” badges on the lower frond door trims, and will offer standard powered door blinds and a panoramic sunroof.
If added luxury is for you, the Autobiography Black model is only available as a Long-Wheelbase model, and will feature a unique grille and side vents that showcase badges in black enamel and chrome. “The Range Rover Autobiography Black is the latest step in our transformational journey that moves luxury to another level. This vehicle is an intensely deign focused response to our customer’s desire for more choice and exclusivity,” said Gerry McGovern, Land Rover Design Director and Chief Creative Officer, in a recent statement.
The Autobiography Black model will feature individualized seating packages for both the front and rear seats, with a bespoke seat cover design, climate control, seat memory, and a massage function. The rear center console offers USB jacks and cup holders, and electronically deployable tables covered in black leather. Ambient lighting is also available in 10 different colors, which can also be controlled from the rear console. If you want more luxury out of your next Range Rover, this may be the one to choose.
