The 2014 Porsche Panamera Turbo S will add more power, while a new Panamera Turbo S Executive edition is set to debut at the Tokyo Auto Show later this month. As if 550 horsepower wasn’t enough, the revised twin-turbo 4.8-liter V-8 engine that will power both versions is now capable of 570 hp. A standard seven-speed dual clutch transmission will transfer that power for the ultra-quick quick German beasts, which boast a top speed of 192 mph. Porsche claims the 2014 Panamera Turbo S can hit 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds, an extremely impressive time for such a large vehicle.
The Panamera Turbo S distinguishes itself from the non-sport version with larger and wider 20-inch wheels, and a body color spoiler. The 2014 Porsche Panamera Turbo S Executive edition, which will debut in Tokyo, is 5.9 inches longer, and that extra space is used for rear seat comfort. In Asia—and especially in China—high-level executives prefer to be chauffeured rather than drive themselves. The Executive version takes this in to account, giving rear-seat passengers an additional 4.7 inches of legroom. Rear passengers will also have active ventilation seats, an electronically controlled sunshade, and a revised center console.
The 2014 Porsche Panamera Turbo S starts at $181,295 in the U.S., while the elongated Executive version will start north of $200k, at $201,495 to be exact. Both prices include the $995 delivery fee.
