Porsche is expanding the Panamera lineup here in the United States with the addition of three new models: the S E-Hybrid, and two Executive models based off the Panamera 4S and Panamera Turbo. Each model features updates, including new engines, updated powertrains, increased horsepower, and better fuel efficiency.
On the Panamera S, 4S and 4S Executive, the 4.8-liter V-8 engine has been dropped in favor of a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6 engine, which offers more horsepower and torque. Fuel economy is also increase by 17 percent thanks to the new engine. The Panamera S E-Hybrid now features a more powerful electric motor that produces double the power of the previous motor, and high-performance battery that has increase capacity from 1.7 kW to 9.4 kW.
New to the lineup are the Panamera 4S and Turbo Executive models, each of which has an extended wheelbase to offer more legroom and comfort in the rear seats. All Executive models feature a full leather interior and adaptive air-suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management, along with a long list of standard and available features.
The power that the Panamera Turbo delivers has been increased to 520 horsepower, along with a fuel economy bump of four percent. Thanks to the extra power, the Turbo can now go from 0 to 60 in 3.7 seconds and has a top track speed of 189 mph. The power in the GTS model has also increased, jumping to 440 horsepower. Now, the GTS can go from 0 to 60 in 4.2 seconds.
