2014 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG Revealed Ahead of Detroit

2014-Mercedes-Benz-E-Class-Family

While we don’t have any details about the revised 2014 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG, the company has–inadvertently–allowed us a sneak peek. Scheduled to officially debut the E-Class at the 2013 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, the performance inspired 2014 E63 AMG now features prominently in a new E-Class family photo, situated high on the track, to the right above.

While Mercedes-Benz hasn’t given us any official numbers, we expect the E63 to pack a twin-turbo V-8 that will deliver in excess of 500 horsepower. We can also see the different, sportier front-end, with a single-bar grille and new headlights. Mercedes-Benz also said the E63 AMG will have an available 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system. The E-Class is the German luxury automaker’s second-best seller behind the C-Class.  While it hasn’t released specifics yet, Mercedes promised “numerous technical innovations” for the new E-Class, including Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Drive, and other systems to help prevent and avoid accidents. Expect more details to come in the next few days.
