We’ve already seen the 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA make its official debut back at the 2013 North American International Auto Show a few weeks ago but now we have a base price to go along with it. Thanks to its Super Bowl commercial, which was released a few days before the big game, we now know that the newest Benz will set you back $30,825 to start including a $925 destination fee.
In the commercial, a man sitting at a table is put in a tough spot: does he sell his soul to Williem Dafoe the Devil to get into a 2014
Mercedes-Benz CLA? In this case, the man is presented with the idea that if he does sign his name on the dotted line, he’ll walk the red carpet with Kate Upton, have a dance-off with Usher, and grace the cover of magazines all around the world (plus a few other things, too). The man’s dream of getting into a CLA may not be too far-fetched though as it slides under the Mercedes-Benz C250 sedan by more than $5,000. As uncovered in Detroit, the 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA will draw motivation from a turbocharged, direct-injected 2.0-liter inline-4 rated at 208 horsepower. Standard features on the CLA include 17-inch wheels, a 5.8-inch infotainment screen, and Collision Prevention Assist. Mercedes also plans to release a special CLA once the baby CLS hits showrooms later this fall. Special features include black 18-inch wheels, navigation, a panorama sunroof, a Harmon/Kardon sound system, and Mountain Gray paint. No word on how much the CLA Launch edition will cost yet though.
Mercedes-Benz has been actively advertising its newest vehicle with the Super Bowl ad being the latest (and most expensive). The 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA doesn’t hit showrooms until later this year though, and based on the commercial below, maybe it’s a good idea for the man to sign his life away to get into one now. Check out the commercial in its entirety below and make the decision for yourself.
