Earlier today Acura announced the pricing for the 2014 Acura RDX, going on sale today with a starting price of $34,520, only $200 more than the 2013 model. The new RDX was completely redesigned for the 2013 model year, from the engine, to the transmission, to the all-wheel drive system. Ranked highest in the Premium Compact Utility Vehicle segment by ALG’s Residual Value Awards, the new RDX continues down that route by introducing a new exterior paint color, Kona Coffee.
The 2014 Acura RDX has a 3.5-liter V6 engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, producing 273 horsepower. Inside the vehicle, standard features include leather seating surfaces, heated power front seats, power moonroof, and 360-watt audio system. Also standard are a push button start, Active Noise Control, and Multi-Angle Rearview Camera.
When equipped with the technology package, the 2014 Acura RDX receives the AcuraLink Satellite Communication System, Acura Navigation System with Voice Recognition, and other features. The RDX has been produced with both US and globally sourced parts at the company’s East Liberty, Ohio plant, one of four Honda plants ranked in the top five assembly lines in North America by J.D. Power and Associates.
