Going on sale tomorrow, the 2014 Acura ILX will feature an array of new standard features to help strengthen the brand’s gateway vehicle. According to J.D. Power and Associates, the new ILX is the only luxury model on the top 10 list of Generation Y shoppers. Introduced as a new model for the 2013 model year, the 2014 Acura ILX will offer increased value on a luxury scale to enhance curb appeal and driving enjoyment.
New to the 2014 Acura ILX are 17-inch alloy wheels, leather seating, power driver’s seat, heated front seats, and a Multi-Angle Rearview Camera. A new audio system subwoofer and Active Noise Cancellation also come standard on the new vehicle, along with two powertrain options. The ILX features a 2.0-liter, inline four-cylinder engine delivering 150 horsepower paired with a five-speed automatic transmission with an EPA estimated 24/35/28 mpg city/highway/combined.
For those wanting a more involved driving experience, the 2014 Acura ILX can have a six-speed manual transmission paired with a 2.4-liter engine that produces 201 horsepower with an EPA estimated 22/31/25 mpg city/highway/combined. Changes to the 2014 Acura ILX hybrid will be announced later.
