Earlier today, Subaru of America announced the pricing on their WRX and WRX STI Special Edition models. With a base price of $28,795 for the WRX Special Edition Sedan and $34,795 for the WRX STI Special Edition Sedan, it is only an additional $500 when compared with the WRX Premium and WRX STI, respectively.
Both Special Editions have an “Orange and Black” custom paint scheme, with the Tangerine Orange Pearl being off-set with jet back custom wheels, black front fender badging, exterior mirrors, and black exterior graphics.
The WRX Special Edition produces 265 horsepower, the WRX STI produces 305 horsepower. Being a rally-inspired vehicle, the WRX STI Special Edition has a six-speed manual transmission and exclusive Multi-Mode Driver Controlled Center Differential version of Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive.
Each Special Edition has limited quantity, with the WRX at 200 sedans and the WRX STI at 100 sedans. Both will be on sale in spring 2013.
