Could this be the 2013 SRT Viper? This blurry image above appears to show off Chrysler’s latest interpretation of its super car in toy fashion. Brazilian website T-Hunted.com, a website that focuses on Hot Wheel toy cars, first showed off the new super snake toy.
This wouldn’t be the first time Hot Wheels spoiled an unveil of a vehicle for Chrysler. Back in 2008 Hot Wheels showed off the Chrysler 300C SRT8 before it was officially unveiled by the Detroit auto maker itself. Chrysler and SRT officials remain mum on whether or not this rendering will look like the one on stage in New York. SRT spokesman Dan Reid told sister publication Motor Trend that everyone will have to wait until the Viper’s official unveil at the New York Auto Show in April.
However the above image, while tiny and low-resolution, gives us the general idea of what to expect of the new Viper. Exterior styling staples of like the elongated hood and big wheels appear on the 1:24 model. Other exterior styling features seen on the toy car and will presumably be on the full scale model are a lower air intake and two smaller scoops on the hood.
Earlier this week SRT released another teaser image of the new Viper and now we think it was an up-close look of the hood scoop seen present in the blurry image above. The first teaser image released by SRT was a silhouette of the Viper’s front-end and the Hot Wheels variant gives us a better picture of what to possibly expect from the new super snake in a few months.
So what do you think, is this what the 2013 SRT Viper will look like? Do you like it? Sound off in the comment section below.
