If you’re looking at a 2013 Nissan 370Z, you’ll likely have to consider the two extra car payments worth of cost the Japanese automaker has added to its entry-level sports car for the new model year. Updated for 2013, the Nissan 370Z will start at $33,900, including $780 for destination and handling, some $840 more than the outgoing model.
The 2013 Nissan 370Z makes some of it worth the added cost, including new standard vertical LED running lights on all models but the NISMO version. But most other changes are cosmetic, with the 370Z adding two new paint colors—Magma Red and Midnight Blue—and a new 18-inch wheel design.
Stepping up to Nissan’s seven-speed automatic transmission will cost an additional $1,300, upping the price of entry to $35,200. But, like the standard coupe and Touring models, its price jumps $840 from last year. Touring models, which add leather seats, a Bose audio system, Bluetooth phone controls, and a Homelink garage door transceiver, costs $38,600 for the six-speed manual model and $39,900 for the automatic.
The 370Z Roadster bumps up its price a little more, as prices rise $970 across the board. Standard models, which come equipped with the automatic transmission, start at $42,250, including $780 for destination and handling. Touring models, add $2,700, starting at $44,950 when equipped with a six-speed manual or $46,250 with the seven-speed auto. The top-of-the-line Nissan 370Z Roadster Touring with the sport package comes in at $47,780.
But it’s not the sportiest. That designation would go to the Nissan NISMO 370Z, which has an uprated 350-horsepower engine, gunmetal-color 19-inch RAYS wheels, a Bose audio system, a new H-shaped exhaust system, a retuned suspension, a new body kit, the brakes and limited-slip rear differential from sport package-equipped models, and other unique details throughout. Whereas last year’s model could be had for just over $42,000, the 2013 version costs $43,800.
