The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued its highest overall rating of five stars for the 2013 Lexus ES 300 and the 2013 Lexus ES 350 sedans. Both sedans received identical five star ratings in frontal crash, and side 
crash testing, and four stars in rollover testing.
The 2013 Lexus ES 300 and sibling ES 350 are equipped with four-wheel ABS brakes, stability control, traction control, front and rear head airbags, and dual front and dual rear side-mounted airbags among other safety features. The front-wheel-drive 2013 Lexus ES 350 is powered by a 3.5-liter V-6 capable of producing 268 hp. We came away generally impressed with the new ES, and are looking forward to getting behind the wheel of the all-new 2013 Lincoln MKZ, a direct competitor that recently debuted.
