Jeep, the quintessential American automaker with a long history serving in the military, is paying tribute to the servicemen and women of this country with its latest commemorative model: the Patriot Freedom edition. To mark the occasion, the 2013 Jeep Patriot Freedom edition will only be offered in three exterior colors; red, white, and blue, of course. For every 2013 Patriot Freedom edition model Jeep sells, it will donate $250 to military charities that benefit our soldiers.

“We have created the 2013 Jeep Patriot Freedom Edition as a tribute to the brave men and women that have served, while acknowledging the Jeep brand’s renowned military history,” said Mike Manley, President and CEO – Jeep Brand, Chrysler Group LLC. “We express gratitude to those who have and are serving in the U.S. military, and in their honor we are donating $250 for each Patriot Freedom Edition sold to military charities.

The 2013 Jeep Patriot Freedom edition starts at $22,440 (including a $995 destination fee) and is based on the 2013 Patriot 2013 Jeep Patriot Freedom edition hood 300x187 imageLatitude model. America’s Patriot (in vehicle form by name, at least) will be available in both two- and four-wheel drive configurations and includes some exclusive features only found on the Freedom edition. These special features include a military star emblem on the hood and rear quarter panel, an “Oscar Mike” badge on the lower front door, a bright front-end, and 17-inch aluminum wheels dunked in high-gloss paint with accented bright lug nuts. Dark Gray “Cubic” cloth seats with vinyl bolsters, silver accents, and a black star emblem make an appearance inside as well.

The regular features found on the standard 2013 Jeep Patriot are also included in the Freedom edition. These include a sunroof, all-season floor mats, Chrysler’s Security and Cargo package, and an All-Weather Capability Group.  The 2013 Jeep Patriot is assembled in Belvidere, Ill. Along with the all-new Dodge Dart and is available to the public now.
