2013 Dodge Durango Recalled for Defective Curtain Airbag Module

We’re not too far into the 2013 model year, but the 2013 Dodge Durango has already gotten its first recall.

The large SUV is being recalled for defective rear side-impact airbags that may not go off in the case of a collision due to an improper occupant restraint control (ORC) airbag control module for the vehicle. Because of the airbags not working, it could heighten the chance of an injury in the case of a collision.

Fortunately, it only affects a modest 1,449 Dodge Durango SUVs, made from April 11, 2012, to July 20. Chrysler will begin sending out recall letters to have the ORC replaced free of charge. Should owners have any concerns in the meantime, they can contact Chrysler’s customer service line at (800) 853-1403, referencing recall number M25, or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s Safety Hotline at (888) 327-4236, referencing campaign numberĀ 12V391000.
