If anyone ever wanted to see evolution in action, look no less than the Kia Sorento.
All-new, the once truck-based SUV has crossed over into the new year as a crossover, looking longer and leaner. The former, claims Kia engineers, is in response to consumers’ demand for (optional) seven passenger seating yet still short enough not to require a trucking license.
The once generic front grill and front lights have been replaced by the brand’s new signature front fascia and swept-back headlamps. Kia looks like it borrowed from luxury brands like Audi and Acura for the crossover’s greenhouse, or the part of the vehicle’s windows, roof, and pillars. Interestingly, while I found the prior generation Sorento to be more blocky in design, the current model actually looks more sporty.
