2011 Honda Accord gets Slight Price Hike

2010 Honda Accord Front Left

Honda basically refreshed its midsized Accord sedan and coupe for model year 2011.
Like Honda’s updates to the 2011 Accord, price increases are modest. The Accord’s starting price of $21,930 is a modest bump of $125 over the outgoing 2010 model. That price gets you a basic LX, four-door sedan with a five-speed manual and a 177-horsepower, 2.4-liter I-4. A five-speed automatic is an $800 option. The Accord LX comes equipped with air conditioning, power door locks, cruise control, and a tilt and telescoping steering wheel with wheel-mounted audio controls.

Opting for the LX Premium sedan adds an extra $1800 to the base Accord’s price tag, bringing the total price to $23,730, which includes the cost of a standard five-speed automatic. Premium content includes all of the standard features on the base LX plus 16-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, rather than steelies, an eight-way power driver’s seat, car alarm, and auto-up/down windows for the driver and front passenger. The Accord SE trim level is new for 2011, and adds a leather interior, heated front seats, and 10-way power driver’s seat. It starts at $24,480.

Honda’s next Accord trim levels — EX, EX-L, EX-L with Navigation — offer a more powerful version of the four-cylinder engine, with 190 horsepower, or an optional 271-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6. Standard additions on the EX trim include 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, a moonroof, auto-on/off halogen headlights, heated power side mirrors, rear HVAC vents, a six-disc in-dash CD changer, and a USB auxiliary audio input. The four-cylinder model with a five-speed manual starts at $24,855, with a five-speed automatic transmission an $800 option; opting for the V-6 will cost you $27,830, but includes a standard automatic, plus fog lights and chrome trim.

EX-L trim level Accords get a leather interior with leather steering wheel, an uplevel 270-watt audio system with a six-disc, in-dash CD changer, heated front seats, four-way power passenger seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, Bluetooth connectivity, and steering wheel-mounted phone controls. Both four- and six-cylinder models come standard with a five-speed automatic transmission and start at $28,105 and $30,180, respectively. The EX-L with navigation simply adds navigation for $2200 to the price of either the four- or six-cylinder model, plus the option to order a rearview camera.

Accord Coupe trim levels include LX, EX, EX-L, and EX-L with navigation. The coupes’ trim levels mirror their sedan counterparts’, with the exception of EX V-6 models, which give buyers the option of a six-speed manual for the same price as the five-speed automatic. Prices are as follows:

LX: $23,530 with a five-speed manual (add $800 for a five-speed auto)

EX: $25,205 with a five-speed manual (add $800 for a five-speed auto)

EX-L four-cylinder: $27,855 with a five-speed auto only

EX-L six-cylinder: $30,480 with either a five-speed auto or a six-speed manual (add $2000 for EX-L with navigation)

All prices include a $750 destination fee.
