The Dodge Charger Pursuit police cruiser just got more badassed with an all-new 3.6 liter engine.
2010 will be the Charger’s final year with the 250-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 and its replacement has already been shoehorned into the full-sized black and white. Power ratings haven’t been released but in other Chrysler vehicles the six-cylinder develops 290 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. The 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 remains an option for the Charger police car.
In addition to the powertrain update, the 2011 Charger Pursuit will be equipped with a higher-output alternator rated at 220 amps for all the car’s electrical and accessory needs (previous models used a 160-amp unit). Further police-spec add-ons include performance suspension tuning, a heavy-duty brake package, 18-inch steel wheels wrapped in high-pursuit-ready rubber, front and rear anti-roll bars, and a special two-mode stability control system set up for the beat. The mobile-command interior uses a Police Interface Module and a column-mounted automatic transmission.
After 2011, the 2012 Charger is expected to be significantly refreshed before it gets a full redesign further down the line.

USE TECHNOLOGY TO YOUR ADVANTAGE!
TIRED OF PAYING ALOT FOR GAS? TIRED OF EXPENSIVE OIL CHANGES? TRY AMS!
I drive alot and I am sure alot of others here do the same. I used to pay for oil changes every 3-6k miles on regular oil/filter. I did some research and found that if you switch to AMS FULL Synthetic Oil you can change your Oil every 25,000-mile/one-year drain intervals. That means you can drive your vehicle on the same oil for 25,000 miles before having to change the filter and oil again! I purchase my Oil and Filter and then I just go to the local discount oil lube places with my oil and filter and just pay $15-20 dollars for the labor. That is not the only advantage of AMS synthetic oil you also save on GAS! Industry tests demonstrate an average conservative decrease in fuel consumption by two to five percent by switching to synthetic lubricants. Many AMSOIL customers report even larger gains in fuel economy!

This is very exciting news. My father-in-law is in charge of all of the vehicles for the city we live in, including the police cars. I know he prefers the Charger to any other police vehicle. I’m sure that he will be very excited to hear about all of this (and I’ll win brownie points by telling him)! One thing won’t change the car insurance…. http://www.nycarinsuranceprices.com/auto.html .
