2010 Paris Motor Show: Questionable Leak on Lotus Evora S, Automatic

Writing A Question Mark

Are there truly any “accident leaks” in this day of the Internet? Case in point: the Lotus Evora S and Evora automatic.

According to said leak, both vehicles will be debuting at the upcoming Paris Motor Show. A neat tip, perhaps, but the correspondence is otherwise devoid of detail. We wouldn’t be surprised if the Evora S follows in the footsteps of the Elise S and Exige S and bolts a supercharger onto the Toyota-sourced 3.5-liter V-6 for a little extra oomph.

The Evora Automatic? The name should speak for itself and allow the car to appeal to buyers who don’t desire a third pedal (we’re looking at you, America). We wouldn’t be surprised if a new seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, which Lotus recently filed patents on, appears in lieu of a transmission fitted with a torque converter.

Both cars will officially make their world premiere at Lotus’ substantial Paris show stand, which may also host the debut of the Esprit successor. If you’re that impatient to see the new Evoras, you can always book a trip to the Nürburgring in Germany — we hear the company will be shaking down both the Evora S and Auto on the Green Hell over the next three days.
