2010 Acura TSX – Technology

2010 Acura Tsx Interior

Honda prides itself on its automotive technology, and its Acura lineup makes many of the latest tech toys standard.

Standard in the TSX includes USB jack (compatible with iPod/iPhone), AUX audio mini-jack, and Bluetooth for cellphones and the like. The V-6 version (which I drove) included noise cancellation which dampened engine noise almost to nil under regular driving conditions.

My TSX came equippped with the technology package. This included the 10-speaker Acura/ELS Surround Premium Audio System; six CD changer; XM satellite radio as well as AM/FM stereo system; GPS/navigation (with a whole slew of features like real-time weather reports) and rearview camera. I found the controls the least cluttered among the Acura lineup, finding them similar to the Honda Accord in layout. The GPS/navigation system is based off the prior generation, updated with the latest features and controls. (The RDX also uses this system.) Acura is considered to have the best system around and I agree; I found the controls easy to use. I still have trouble, though, with the voice recognition system; I found it difficult even to change the fan speed. But I believe this is more to my voice than the system itself.

I continue to fall in love with the backup camera system.
