Believe it or not, Mitsubishi’s Lancer has been named as one of 2008’s coolest new cars for under $18,000 by the Kelly Blue Book. The nod came partly because of the vehicle’s technological add ons that are available.
What? When one thinks of innovative technology, Mitsubishi’s autos are not usually one of them. (Now, barely street-legal race cars, on the other hand….)
According to mobile Electronics magazine, the idea is to bow to manufacturers who make entry level vehicles that are nicely equipped and are still sold for a price that is reasonably low.
And what are some of these equipment? They include Freehand Advanced Security Transmitter FAST Key entry system, bluetooth, and a 30-GB hard drive navigation system with 6GB of digital music storage capacity.
Other cars that made the list include:
2008 Ford Focus
2008 Honda Fit
2008 Jeep Patriot
2008 Mazda 3
2009 Pontiac Vibe
2008 Scion xB
2008 Subaru Impreza
2008 Suzuki SX4
2008 Volkswagen Rabbit
Our take? We’re still waiting for the car that drives itself!
