2008 Infiniti G37. Nameless No More

2008 Infiniti G Concept Front Left

We posted back in January that Nissan Motor Co. had released a sketch of its all-new Infiniti G coupe. According to Automobile Magazine blog, the (near?) production version would make its debut at the New York Auto Show next month. Nissan/Infiniti was quiet on any further details.
Well, March Madness is upon us with the auto show scants weeks away. Nissan, however, continues to be mum about the new G. Oh, with one exception. The automaker has finally given the stylish coupe a name: Infiniti G37.

Motor Trend blog, which broke the news, speculates that the coupe, following Nissan’s standard nomenclature on alphanumeric names, will be powered by a 3.7 liter V-6 engine. The blog also posts that Nissan will debut yet another concept, the EX Concept, at the show as well. And, of course, the automaker has not released details on either vehicle.

Our take? How Hollywood, Nissan.
