Four Wheeler magazine asked GM for a Hummer to replace its 2005 Hummer H2 SUT. The General replied and the magazine staff found itself confronted by a blinding yellow, 2006 H3.The staff found the H3 surprisingly livable. Except for the lack of a sunroof, the SUV was quite spacious with plenty of legroom and shoulder space for four adults. The large rear-view mirrors compensated for the gun-slit windows though they recommended a back-up sensor (either alarm or camera) for serious buyers. The staff’s biggest complaints include the just adequate power and niggling details like lack of storage space for such a large vehicle.
More details can be found at the article, the first in a four-part series. Our take is that GM should consider putting the entire brand onto its wait list for hybrid engines.

hummertech, why do people continue to hype on the hummer’s lack of fuel-efficacy? one look at that thing and you don’t buy it because it sips gasoline
The new 2008 H3 Alpha has great improvments with addition of a 5.3 liter V8. This motor might be flex fuel ready as well. Check out http://www.hummertech.net Hummer Community Forum
