Well, what many are calling the “Holy Grail” of car collectibles has been found in a garage near Newcastle, Great Britain and it has been sitting there since 1960.
It is a 1937 Bugatti Type 57S Atalante. Only 17 of the two-seater car were ever made so no doubt it is sure to fetch quite a lot of coin when it is sold in auction in Paris in February. People who know these kind of things say the car should garner at least $4.3 million.
Why was it considered a supercar of its time? Well, it could travel up to 130 miles per hour in a time when most other cars had a top speed of only 50 mph.
The owner of the vehicle was an orthopedic surgeon who died at the age of 89. Only a few people knew he had the car. He also owned an Aston Martin and a Jaguar.
