If they had cars when Moses climbed Mt. Sinai to get the 10 Commandments, there may have been an 11th Commandment — Thou Shalt Not Covet Thy Neighbors Supercar. And now the early supercars that did exist, those that first appeared in the 1930s, are coveted by collectors
Well, what many are calling the “Holy Grail” of car collectibles has been found in a garage near Newcastle, Great Britain and it has been sitting there since 1960.

It is a 1937 Bugatti Type 57S Atalante. Only 17 of the two-seater car were ever made so no doubt it is sure to fetch quite a lot of coin when it is sold in auction in Paris in February. People who know these kind of things say the car should garner at least $4.3 million.

Why was it considered a supercar of its time? Well, it could travel up to 130 miles per hour in a time when most other cars had a top speed of only 50 mph.

The owner of the vehicle was an orthopedic surgeon who died at the age of 89. Only a few people knew he had the car. He also owned an Aston Martin and a Jaguar.

I'd rather buy the 1300hp monster they created recently. http://motorscoops.com
