Profit can be measured in several ways. One is how much was made per unit of product sold while the second method is how much total was made.

Among automakers, tt should come to no one's surprise that Porsche is the most profitable automaker. How profitable? We bet you didn't know that the car maker pockets $28,000 per car sold. No other auto maker comes close.

Audi gets about $1,580 while BMW makes $3,200 per car. Cars for the consumer? Chrysler makes only $900 per car sold and Volkswagen brings in $400 a unit. And Porsche doesn't come even close to Toyota or Ford's massive productions. But do you think Porsche cares?
