The BT-50 debuted this year at the Bangkok Auto Show. Mazda plans to offer truck in two trims, L-Cab and XL-Cab; and two transmissions, a 5-speed manual and a new 5-automatic. It’s bigger than its B-Series and Ford Ranger predecessors and comes equipped with Mazda’s new MZR-CD 2.5-litre common-rail turbocharged DOHC 16-valve diesel engine.
The BT-50, which is priced at 23,900 euros ($31,569), currently sells in Asia. There are currently no plans to bring it to the U.S. market.
