Not surprisingly, little change could be seen despite the light camouflage on both cars. The biggest change will be their engines: both will most likely receive the new 5.7-liter V-8 from the new Tundra that goes on sale in the next couple of months.
Both vehicles will probably go on sale at the end of the year as 2008 models. Our take? With virtually every competitor moving towards more a sporty or curvy look for their crossovers (e.g., Mazda CX-9, Buick Enclave, etc.), it’s surprising Toyota has not made major changes to their SUV flagships. The automaker may be preoccupied with managing its explosive growth plans this year. That, or it has something specially waiting in the wings for 2010 and beyond.
