Make a Movie and Win a Mazda

In order to bring some buzz to its launch of the new MX-5 Roadster Coupe, Mazda Europe is sponsoring a contest, "Make a Movie for Mazda and Win a Car." 



The website has videos of the power-retractable hard top version of the Roadster as the main character in several classic thriller motifs. Visitors can create their own thriller shots by clicking on the website's "Create Your Own Link."


The film can be no longer than 20 seconds. Each submission will be reviewed and if suitable placed on line at the site for viewing until the end of the contest on January 31, 2007. The contest and winner will be exhibited on the Mazda Europe website -- http://www.12secondthriller.com.

Our take? Isn't this how Spielberg got started?
