Autoweek has reported that the 2008 Buick Enclave will compete with the Acura MDX and Lexus RX for the hearts and souls of buyers
According to the report, the Enclave will be larger but will also be priced lower than the vehicles mentioned.
The Enclave, a mid-sized crossover, can seat seven or eight, depending on the seat configuration. Moreover, it is available in all-wheel drive and does not share the greenhouse and exterior panels of the 2007 Saturn Outlook and 2007 GMC Arcadia which preceded the Buick version.
Steve Shannon, general manager of Buick, said that the Enclave is helping to re-establish Buick around some key fundamentals. These are quality, interior refinement and craftsmanship, technology that is simple to use, and quietness.
Enclave sales are planned to begin in late spring.
