The Jeep Wrangler, a true American tradition that has roots in World War II will be larger, more comfortable, and fully capable on and off road.
The big story here is that there is more comfort. For example, the wheels and tires are larger improving ground clearance and both axles and the four-wheel drive systems have been enhanced. The brakes are now four wheel discs, power windows have been included for the first time. Moreover, the vehicle is larger
with front bucket seats that has a high level of comfort and support and the rear bench has noticeably more room too. There is also a six speaker AM/FM/CD/MP3CD audio system with a jack for an external MP3 player with upgrades and Sirius Satellite Radio available. Bigger than previous Jeep Wranglers, the vehicle has a number of safety features for good road and off road driving. The list of safety features include multi-stage front airbags, available seat mounted side airbags, four wheel antilock disc brakes with brake assist, the ESP Electronic Stability System, electronic roll mitigation, all speed traction control, and brake lock differentials. The Jeep 4.0 liter inline six engine has been replaced with a new 3.8 liter V6 which offers increased power and better fuel consumption. EPA gives it a 16 mpg in the city and 19 mpg on the highway. A six speed manual transmission is standard but there is an optional four speed automatic available. The base price of the Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4x4 is $22,870. Options to enhance the base vehicle include Freedom Top ™ three piece modular hard top, rear window wiper, washer and defroster; trailer tow group which includes Class II receiver hitch, delete rear tow hook, trailer tow with 4-pin connector wiring; Power Convenience Group which includes power windows, power
locks, remote keyless entry, security alarm; Supplemental side front seat air bags; four speed automatic transmission; Trac Loc® limited slip rear differential and Dana 44 heavy duty rear axle; AM/FM stereo radio with indash six disc CD/DVD/MP3 player and Sirius Satellite Radio; and 18-inch aluminum wheels.
