Honda Canada is creating new outlets that will sell all of its products, from lawnmowers, snowthrowers, all terrain vehicles, motorcycles, water pumps, portable generators, weed trimmers, and marine outboard motors, under one roof.
Called Honda Centre in Quebec and Honda Powerhouse in the rest of Canada, the idea is to bring everything together to support the brand. With this concept, a consumer can buy a Honda all terrain vehicle and the Honda truck to haul it in one place. (Pictured is the Honda Ridgeline.)
Dealers and salespeople in stores offering all Honda products will be well-trained on all items across the board.
Currently, Honda has 214 car dealers in Canada and 310 motorcycle dealers. The company has sold 155,000 cars and trucks, 21,000 motorcycles, 23,400 all terrain vehicles, 25,000 generators, 6,000 outboard engines, 4,000 weed trimmers and 6,700 snow throwers in Canada last year.
We think its a great idea. Many consumers are not aware of all the products Honda offers. With this concept, they will. Furthermore, a customer who goes to one of these dealers to buy one Honda product may be likely to buy another or more. That could add up to more convenience for the customer who doesn't want to go from shop to shop to shop buying the different things that he or she may need.
