Volkswagen became one of the first non-Chinese automakers to debut a concept car at the Beijing International Exhibition when it exhibited its Neeza concept.
The vehicle is reported to be a crossover between a sports coupe and an estate with an off-road appearance. This car was actually designed in China for China. The concept intentionally does not have a radio, navigation system or other forms of infotainment equipment. Instead, it has a “Magic Box” that serves as an interface for radio and navigation systems, mobile phone, personal organizer, and other devices. And the roof is entirely glass. No blocked vision here.
The interior is large and functional with a touch of business in mind. For example, the front seats swivel so passengers can face each other and access to the rear seats is functional through rear doors which open towards the rear.
FYI, the name Neeza comes from the Chinese word Ne-zha, the name of a famous and mystical figure from Chinese history. Could it be that history is being made here?
