Nissan Rogue steps out of the shadows for Detroit Auto Show

The SUV/CUV market may be soon joined by another player.

Several sites are reporting on the “Rogue”, a new SUV by Nissan Motor Co. Details are scarce with Nissan officially stating it will unveil the SUV at the 2007 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. While the automaker promises to provide more details at a later time, other sources claim the new SUV will be smaller than the popular Murano and it will most likely be powered by a 2.5-liter inline four.

Our take? Looks like the entry-level SUV market, with players like the Honda CR-V, Ford Escape, and Toyota RAV4, looks to be shaping as the next battlefield among automakers. This spells plenty of choice for shoppers.
