Six cars that’ll make you look cool

Erin Ridgeway of the Greenville News scoured hundreds of cars to find out which, when pulling up to the valet, signals to everyone that this driver is cool. Ridgeway six picks cover the gamut from power, Euro, retro, and everything in between. Interestingly, many are inexpensive which proves that you don’t have to spend a lot of cash to look rich.

The six cool cars with our comments are:

• Ford Shelby GT500 – Retro Mustang look with striping that says power.
• Smart fortwo coupe passion  – Though not available in the U.S. until 2008, it’ll be a hit on the street or on that HUMMER’s grill.
• Toyota FJ Cruiser – Retro in a Tonka toy way.
• Saturn Sky – Euro roadster that flattens more expensive BMW Z’s.
• MazdaSpeed3 – Fun and practical. What a combo.
• Toyota Yaris Liftback – Worldwide winner.
