Six vehicles that put the “S” in satisfaction

We’re always amused when car enthusiasts sprout off figures like horsepower, torque, and even vehicle weight. Why? Because they’re always put off by the question, “would you buy this car?”

We understand their confusion. Satisfaction is not as objective as acceleration speed. But such a factor is heavily weighed by a potential buyer especially when he or she’s buying for the second, or even the third, time. Forbes compiled six vehicles that owners found gave them the greatest satisfaction. The magazine based their information from Consumer Reports owner satisfaction ratings and J.D. Power and Associates APEAL study.

The vehicles, with our comments, include:

  • Ford Mustang two-door with V-8 engine – We’re not surprised here. An American icon that’s powerful and affordable.
  • Honda Odyssey minivan – We were a bit surprised by this choice until those of us who have families gently reminded us that a Dodge Viper doesn’t accommodate car seats.
  • Honda Ridgeline pickup – While the bed may be a bit short, it’s more than enough for the weekend gardener.
  • Infiniti M sedan – All the hi-tech, speed, and handling of the German makes but at thousands less.
  • Mini Cooper two-door – This is the car enthusiasts are saving their pennies.
  • Scion tC coupe – Affordable, customizable, and appeals to both the teen set and young adults.
