Earlier this week, Jaguar Cars notified its North American dealerships to stop selling its XJ flagship as it follows up reports of leaks from the fuel tank.

According to Jaguar, the sales halt is on any used or new XJ with vehicle identification numbers G49701 through H13209. The halt, or “quarantine”, is in reaction to an investigation launched by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration over customer complaints of XJs literally “flooding” their garages with fuel.

The Ford marque is currently in talks with TI Automotive who supply the fuel tanks.
